Terms of service.

1.⁠ ⁠Our Services

Greek Tings provides catering services for private events, commercial functions, parties, and an Online Store. We offer: Next-Day Delivery for Store Items, bespoke menus, on-site food preparation, delivery, setup, and clean up, as agreed during the booking process.

2.⁠ ⁠Bookings & Deposits

  • All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email or signed agreement).

  • A deposit of 10% of the total quoted fee is required to secure the booking. (exceptions apply, please check 2.2 Larger Scale Events) 

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the event.

  • T&Cs may be subject to variation dependant on time between event and booking

By reserving the agreed-upon date, the client acknowledges that we are unable to accept other bookings for that date. In the event of cancellation, the client accepts that this date has been held exclusively for them and therefore the deposit is non-refundable.

Late payments may incur additional charges or cancellation.


2.2. Larger Scale Events


For weddings, corporate events, and similar functions with 30 or more guests, a deposit of 20% of the estimated total cost is required to secure the booking.

  • This deposit is non-refundable and will be requested following the initial enquiry and courtesy call. 

    • The deposit serves as a date-security payment and ensures your event is reserved in our calendar.

  • Where applicable, the first client tasting will be provided free of charge.

  • Following the complimentary tasting, clients must confirm in writing whether they wish to proceed with our services. 

  • Associated bespoke food and beverage menus and other details will only be released once the above conditions have been met.


2.3. Payments & Financial Information


We do not collect or retain any client payment information during the transaction process. Payments are made securely via:

  • An itemised invoice containing our business payment details

  • A secure, verified digital payment link

  • A QR Code linked directly to the Greek Tings Limited business account.

All transactions are processed through trusted third-party platforms that comply with relevant data protection and financial security standards or BACs.


 3.⁠ ⁠Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made and confirmed in writing.

  • If cancellation occurs 40-31 days before the event; or more, a full refund 100% will be issued.

  • If cancellation occurs between 30-21 days of the event, a 90% will be issued.

  • If cancelled between 20-14 days of the event, a 50% refund will be issued.

  • If cancellation occurs within 13 days of the event, no refund will be available. Due to required preparations. Exceptions may be made in the event of unforeseen circumstances. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  • If a booking is made within 14-7 days of the event, the terms and conditions of service may be subject to variation. Any such changes will be communicated clearly at the time of booking and agreed upon by both parties.

**If for any reason the pre-agreed cost is not settled by the day of the event, we reserve the right to impose interest on the overdue amount 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate; and interest can be applied daily from the date the invoice became due until the date payment is received. 


3.2. Chargebacks.

Once catering services have been delivered, all payments are deemed final.

  • Refunds or chargebacks will not be accepted unless the client can provide clear, dated evidence of negligence or that the service delivered was materially below the standards agreed in writing.

  • Any concerns or complaints must be submitted to the company in writing within 48 hours of the event. After this period, no claims for refunds or chargebacks will be considered.

  • Acceptable forms of evidence may include time-stamped photographs, including digital metadata, written correspondence, or signed witness statements relevant to the issue raised.

  • The company always endeavours to deliver all services to the highest possible standard, with professionalism and care.

 4.⁠ ⁠Amendments

Changes to guest numbers, dietary requirements, or menu selections must be made at least 7 days prior to the event.

We will do our best to accommodate changes, but this may impact pricing and availability.

 5.⁠ ⁠Client Responsibilities

You must provide accurate event details, including venue access, kitchen facilities (if applicable), and guest numbers.

5.2.  Clients must notify us in advance:

Of any allergies or dietary restrictions. It is essential to specify whether the condition is an intolerance, preference, or anaphylactic allergy.

This information is of paramount importance. Clients are responsible for accurately forwarding any such details to us on behalf of themselves and their guests.

Please note that mishandling allergens can have serious, potentially life-threatening consequences. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all.


5.3. Damages To Greek Tings Equipment.

The client shall be held responsible for any loss of, or damage to, our equipment, including but not limited to crockery, glassware, linens, cutlery, serving equipment, and any other items provided for the event, where such loss or damage is caused by the client or their guests while on-site. In such cases, the client agrees to cover the full cost of repair or replacement, which will be invoiced following the event. Any associated charges will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

 6.⁠ ⁠Food Safety & Allergens

All food will be prepared, stored, and served in compliance with current UK Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations.

While we will take reasonable precautions to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens in any food items and accept no liability for any allergic reactions caused.

As stated in Section 5.2. It is the client’s responsibility to inform us in writing, prior to the event, of any allergies or dietary requirements of their guests.


6.2. Leftover Food

Should there be any leftover food at the end of the event, the client is entitled to take these items if they wish. Upon doing so, the client accepts full responsibility for the safe storage, reheating, and consumption of the food. It is strongly advised that all hot food be reheated until steaming throughout to ensure the elimination of any harmful bacteria.

Greek Tings stores, handles, and will release all food in accordance with applicable UK Health and Safety guidelines up to the point of transfer to the client. Once the food has been handed over, we accept no liability for any issues arising from its handling, storage, or consumption thereafter.

6.3 GT Online Store Return Policy

Greek Tings takes great pride in using fresh, locally sourced produce and the highest quality ingredients to craft our products. Each item is made and packed with care to ensure it meets our strict quality standards before leaving our premises.

All food items purchased from our online store are made and dispatched via next-day delivery to ensure freshness and quality upon arrival. 

Due to the perishable nature of our food items, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on any products purchased through our online store.

Under UK consumer law, perishable items—chilled foods included, are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • This means all chilled items cannot be returned if a consumer changes their mind. 

  • All consumers retain statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (and related legislation) if goods are:

    • Faulty

    • Damaged

    • Not Fit For Purpose

    • Not As Described

**If any of the above issues arise, we will offer a full refund or replacement, including delivery costs, in line with your statutory rights. To help us investigate the matter and uphold our quality standards:

  • Claims must be made within 24 hours of delivery, accompanied by photographic evidence and a brief description of the issue.

  • Consumers have up to 30 days from receipt of the goods to raise concerns and are within their rights to reject the item and request a refund if it does not meet the standards required by law.

Please note that all products undergo a final quality check before dispatch. We are confident in the integrity of our goods at the point of sale, and as such, the above also includes incorrect storage by the customer. 

 7.⁠ ⁠Liability

Greek Tings shall not be liable for any damage or loss to client property, guest property, or venue property, unless such damage is caused by proven negligence of our staff. The client is responsible for any damage caused to our equipment or property by themselves, their guests, or other third parties at the event.

Our liability to the client for any loss, cost, claim, or damage shall be limited to the total amount paid for our services under the relevant booking. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of enjoyment, business interruption, or reputational damage.

We maintain appropriate public and product liability insurance in line with industry standards. A copy of our insurance certificate is available upon request.

 8.⁠ ⁠Force Majeure

Greek Tings is not liable for failure to perform its obligations if caused by events beyond its reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, fire, illness, pandemic restrictions, failure of third-party suppliers, or venue-related issues. etc.).

 9.⁠ ⁠Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
